This Privacy Policy explains how My Resume ATS ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our resume builder, portfolio pages, and job board ("the Service").

• Account information: name, email address, username, and a securely hashed password.
• Candidate content: resume details you enter (work history, education, skills, and similar), portfolio content, and job applications you submit.
• Company content: company profile details and job listings you create, and applicant data you view or act on.
• Usage data: information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages visited and features used, and technical data like IP address and browser type.
• Cookies: session cookies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as light or dark mode.
• Job alerts: saved search criteria (keywords, job type, remote preference) you create so we can notify you about new matching job postings.
• Billing information: if you subscribe to a paid plan or purchase CV-view credits, your payment is handled directly by our payment processor — we store the transaction amount, plan, and status, but not your full card details.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
• To create and secure your account, and authenticate you when you sign in;
• To send you transactional email, such as email verification, password resets, and notifications about your applications or job postings;
• To generate AI-assisted content you request, such as resume summaries or candidate-job match scores;
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.

When you use AI-assisted features (such as generating a resume summary or analyzing how well a resume matches a job listing), the relevant resume or job content is sent to a third-party AI model provider for processing. We do not use this content to train our own models, and we only send what is necessary to produce the requested output.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With a company you apply to — your resume and application details become visible to that company so they can evaluate your candidacy;
• With authorized administrators of the platform, who may access account, application, and subscription data as needed to operate, monitor, and support the Service;
• With our payment processor, to process subscription and CV-view credit payments — they receive your name, email, and payment details necessary to complete the transaction;
• With service providers who help us operate the Service, such as our email delivery provider, our database and hosting providers, and our AI model provider — each acting under obligations consistent with this policy;
• If required to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect our rights or the safety of users.

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).

• You can access and update your account and profile information at any time.
• You can publish or unpublish your portfolio, controlling its public visibility.
• You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
• You can opt out of non-essential email by following the unsubscribe instructions where provided; transactional email needed to operate your account cannot be opted out of while your account remains active.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to those countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting a notice on the Service or updating the "Last updated" date above.
